City Treehouse… heterotopia?

Thinking about heterotopias got me thinking about playgrounds as a strange sort of heterotopia for children. In recent years playgrounds and play-spaces in general have gotten more and more elaborate, organized, and intentional in their function. Many minds go into creating the optimal “space” for play, creativity, and overall sensory experience. Often intent on engaging the physical as well as the mental, these places frequently incorporate and/or mimic multiple overlapping aspects of the outside natural and/or adult/”real” world.
